Little Moments

8:43 pm Elizabeth

Sunday afternoon.  It was rainy and windy outside.  I had been waiting for the right moment to sit down with NCL and watch a Disney movie.  Sunday afternoon was it.  We have EVERY single Disney movie (Thanks to Joe!) so how in the world do you pick the “first one”?  As most of you know, I love the Lion King.  “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” is probably one of my favorite songs from a Disney movie.  So, I attempted to play that one…but it wasn’t working.

So, I decided on Toy Story.  What kid wouldn’t like a cartoon movie ALL about toys, right?  It was so awesome.  I cuddled up with the little dude under his fuzzy blanket and we watched the movie together.  He was really enjoying it, especially since he doesn’t watch TV.  It actually kept his attention!  About 20 minutes into the movie, his eyes were getting very heavy….and he fell asleep in my arms.

I don’t have a picture, but the image is burned into my head. Joe walked in just after he closed his eyes and asked me if I was going to put him in his crib for a nap.  I thought about it, since we always try to make sure he gets his nap in his bed…..but I just couldn’t get up.  I loved EVERY single minute of having him asleep on my chest…even if I wasn’t in the most comfortable position, it still felt like heaven.

Little Moments…….cherished forever.

Man, I would love that. I swear I don’t think Erik J even knows how to sleep on me anymore. BTW- good choice on the Toy Story. One of my all time favorites.

Ps…Are you guys still coming over on Tuesday?
