…and I am NOT talking about Nicholas. Roscoe found a giant alligator lizard in the backyard yesterday (his second one this week!) He was so excited. By the time I got out there with the camera, the tail was already off and flopping around in the grass. I kind of felt sorry for the lizard. Roscoe was trying to get it to “play” but I think the lizard was playing dead most of the time…praying that Roscoe would just leave him alone (and it actually worked after about 5-10 minutes). Joe went out to pick up the dog poop in the yard, and when he went to pick up the “dead lizard,” it started moving. Roscoe was all over it, once again.

I didn’t stick around to see what happened to the lizard. I don’t think I want to know.

Another year…another LaGreca Newsletter….completed! Click the link below to see the masterpiece for 2007 (I can’t believe we actually got it done this year…before Christmas! Yes, I realize it’s 1 week until Christmas, but still, it’s technically “before” Christmas!)
2007 LaGreca Newsletter
We sure hope that all everyone has a fabulous Christmas. Travel safe! And enjoy all the yummy food and company that the holidays bring!
** The Newsletter is 2 pages. You can use the “page down” key to view the second page. Enjoy!**
“Nick News” (Thanks to Andy for coming up with this….I think it’s super cute and I think I will use it going forward, even though I don’t plan to call Nicholas “Nick” - it’s still cute and flows well)
Here is a quick video of Nicholas at bath time. He LOVES the bath. If only we could do bath time 4-5 times per day!

Aunt Yvette! (one of my dad’s sisters in Connecticut) What a CLOSE race at the end. Aunt Yvette only won by 3.5 points! She edged out my mom, the new “Grandma” (we are still working on what she would like to be called because she doesn’t really want to be called “grandma”).
Thanks to everyone for participating. The majority of you were right about the baby’s sex, but so many of us thought little Nicholas would come early. Boy, were we WRONG!!! That little guy held on for dear life. Ha ha. I don’t have time to write up my experience this last week, but I am planning on it, for those that care. But, just so you know, I am doing very well. Even went on a mile walk around the block with the family tonight. Roscoe was SO excited to get outside with us. And Nicholas slept the whole time.
I also started an album with our pictures. I will update the captions when I have a chance, but take a look if you want to see a few more pictures of the past few days. See Nicholas Charles LaGreca in our gallery.
Thanks to everyone for all your comments on the site! We really appreciate the support from our friends and family, and hopefully you will all get to meet Nicholas soon!

We are ok! Thanks to everyone who has called, emailed and txt msg’d. Joe and I are fine. And our house is fine. Amazingly enough, we are in a safe zone - even with Cowles Mountain right behind us. We are SO lucky to have the new windows on the house. The air is clean in the house and it’s staying very cool. We have been glued to the TV for 2 days now…praying that our area continues to stay safe. Many of you have asked how close the fires are to our house. We have fires burning in all directions of our house, but we are safe by at least 15 miles from the closest fire.
I know the news isn’t the best outside of San Diego. Many of you are probably hearing about Southern California in total. The only news we are getting down here is on the 6-7 burning fires in San Diego County.
I will try to keep you updated. We are trying to stay off our cell phones because there are so many emergency folks down here and they all need the use of their phones. We will be on the computer as long as we are at home, so you can catch us online if you would like to chat or get an update.
Thanks again for checking in with us!
