The LaGreca Family

Here you have it. A post ALL about Anthony. I don’t think I have done one of those since he was born (ok, maybe I did one while we were on the road – but, poor kid…he needs more than that!)

The lack of posts devoted to solely Anthony have NOTHING to do with a lesser love for the littlest LaGreca.  He is VERY loved and a perfect addition (‘completion’) to the LaGreca family (we will see if Daddy Joe is reading this blog).

The day after we got home for the epic road trip – we had Anthony’s 2 month check-up….well, it ended up being 2 1/2 months, but it’s ok…who’s counting?

He weighs just over 11 pounds — pretty much what I would have guessed.  BUT – he is only in the 35% for weight and 37% for height — he is LITTLE!

I got him to smile while were waiting for the doctor…of course, this is BEFORE the nurse came in with the dreaded shots!

Joe and NCL left the room when it was time to do the shots (we didn’t want NCL to see it — he would ask questions, and maybe feel bad for Anthony, etc.)  So, it was just me and the little guy.  And I just HATE to see my babies cry.  I just feel SO fortunate that I can nurse him right after and that always seems to help (at least for the first few months of shots).

Below — I caught AJ asleep in the swing — it was the FIRST and ONLY time this has happened. I took him in the bathroom with me one morning this past week. I desperately wanted a shower and I just figured he would cry the whole time I was in the shower..but I was pleasantly surprised. He fell asleep..and took a 2 hour nap in there! Miracles DO happen

You will LOVE this final picture.  So….Joe gave AJ a bath the other night and decided that he should “air dry” for a bit….not that he has a rash or anything, but Joe thought it would be a good idea.  I told him RIGHT away that he should at least put something over Anthony’s area to prevent pee on the carpet!  (Did I mention that AJ peed on EVERYTHING in the motorhome? Our bed.  The couch. The dinette. The floor.  He was a champ with his diaper off.)

So, what does Joe do? He tucks the goods between Anthony’s legs — so, now it’s pointing directly into the rocking chair (yes! My beloved rocking chair!)  After 4 minutes – I told Joe that he should probably get a diaper on quickly because he was pushing his luck.

Not even 1 minute later….Joe says “whoa!” and quickly tries to catch the pee.  And yes, it got on my rocking chair…err!
