Joe, Nicholas

This was one of the most precious things I have seen in a long time. Daddy teaching Nicholas how to prepare a meal. NCL is a GREAT helper!

(I was stretching my back in the livingroom and listening to Joe teach NCL how to make stuffed peppers. I just HAD to get up and grab the video camera. These are the things I will enjoy watching for years to come. Just click PLAY below to watch the little dude make dinner!)

I have had a few requests for a belly picture – so here you go folks. Pregnant me at 25 weeks…..wow.

My thoughts on Pregnancy #2 thus far:
- It’s definitely harder this time around
- I can NOT get a good night’s sleep
- Acid reflux is back BUT I am fighting back with Zantac (Doc said it was OK!)
- I am already very large…I can’t believe I am ONLY 25 weeks along
- The baby is getting the hiccups now (well, I am feeling it now – it’s ever so slight, but it’s there)
- A couple of times each week I have a small panic attack when I think about the fact that we will have another child in 3+ months
- My back has been bothering me a lot lately. I really think I will have to stop picking Nicholas up – he weights too much for me lift him (Problem: he is still in his crib, so putting him to bed or getting him up is impossible w/o lifting)
- I promise, we still don’t know the sex of the baby (people ask us all the time) and we will not know until the day the baby is born
- I am LOVING stretchy pants – there is nothing like them, I don’t even care if they look funny – they are comfortable and that is all that matters
- I miss having a glass of wine with dinner
- We don’t have names picked out (for a boy or a girl). We are closer with a girl name, I think — and we have nothing for boy…and, no..we are not telling the name(s) until the baby is born. We are all about secrets, I guess.
- Nicholas doesn’t seem to care about being a big brother. We mention it to him nearly everyday (nonchalantly) and we ask him where the baby is (he points to my chest or my belly). We don’t really push it – there isn’t much else to tell him at this point.
- I said it out loud the other day…”We are going to be a Family of 4 pretty soon”
- Joe still seems to think babies/kids are “a piece of cake” – interesting comment coming from the person that never has to be pregnant.
That’s all I have for tonight. I don’t know why I do this to myself, but it’s 10pm – I really should get to bed and ATTEMPT, once again, to get some rest (I feel like I say the same thing to myself everynight…”Tonight is the night you will get at least 4-5 hours of sleep in a row..you can do it!”)
