Growing up
June 10, 2009 11:59 am NicholasOur baby has left the building…and he has been replaced with a full-fledged little BOY!
I might be the only one that thinks it is so darn cute to see NCL eat corn on the cob. It seems like such a “big boy” thing to do. And he gets SO excited when he sees the corn on the cob. Unfortunately, it’s usually pretty hot when we put it on the table. He has learned that he can set the corn on the edge of the table in front of him, and eat it without having to hold it (yes, this saves his hands, but not his mouth). We are working on “It’s very hot, blow on it first.” He understands what I am saying, and he “blows,” but he doesn’t blow directly on the food. It makes me giggle everytime.
And, has anyone else noticed how much hair NCL has lately? Here is a picture of NCL 6 months ago. And to think, we were excited that he had hair back then!
Another sign that NCL is a big boy…he can climb on and off the rocking horse, all by himself. Here is Major General LaGreca – commanding his army of soldiers while riding his nobel steed.
“What, Mom? I am in charge here, and I was just giving my orders…in a stern way. I want to make sure my minions get it.”
And finally, NCL can now read ME his nighttime stories. After bath, “baby massages” and jammies – I let NCL pick out a few books from our little collection. I picked up this FireTruck book for .25 cents at the Parent Swap Meet a few months back. A well spent quarter.
