Never in CA

I took this picture at the Fossil Days Carnival that we went to in town. Just before the stage got busy with music and dancing – everyone stood up, bowed their head, and a prayer was said. I honestly didn’t know that this still happened in the United States. It’s been SO long that I have seen this in a public setting…..and it was so refreshing to see it. I know I shouldn’t have taken a picture, but I was so excited that the day’s festivities were started with a prayer – I just had to capture the memory.
This would never happen in California….and that makes me sad.

That is awesome! I saw some of this “foreign behavior” in my recent trip to Louisiana. Your comment about CA is so true….very sad, but true.

Too bad is wasn’t easier to pack up our families and get out of here!!! If all my friends, family, church and Gar’s job would pack up and go too…we’d be out of here!! I LOVE this picture!
